Are you balancing the positive and negative in your life?
Building Your Best Life
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love to promote balance in life within your attitude and empowering yourself. The equilibrium of positive and negative must continue if we’re going to live well. How do we maintain this balance?
Seeing The Positive Light
It’s important to have a positive attitude! Keeping your energy high and focusing on sharing those good vibes with everyone around you. What can this look like?
- Sharing your smile with others.
- Knowing what you can control.
- Looking on the bright side of every situation.
- Believing that you are worthy.
I could go on for days with examples like this, but you see my point. Being positive brings peace and gratitude into your life. Is it possible to have too much of it? Absolutely.
It can be exhausting to always keep a positive attitude, especially when you’re having a bad day. You try to smile, doesn’t work. Look on the bright side, but can only see the bad. All you want to do is scream or break something, but you can’t! You have to keep a positive attitude! That’s how you live a healthy, happy life, right? No one can see you cry!
It may shock you to hear that you don’t have to be positive ALL the time. Sometimes, you just have to let go…

Embracing the Negative
When it comes to balance, you have to take the good with the bad. Obviously, it feels so much better to smile and be happy. To laugh and love. Positivity is good energy, but sometimes we feel bad and we can’t ignore it. What does it look like to embrace negativity?
- Letting yourself FEEL, have your emotions.
- Understanding what emotions you are feeling.
- Learning why you feel this way.
- Creating coping mechanisms when you’re having a bad day.
Again, I could list things for days, but the important take away is to ALLOW yourself to feel poorly. Ignoring your negativity is worse for your health than always being positive. You have to own your feelings, work through them, and not let the poison sit in the pit of your stomach. Feel. Cry. Get angry. Know what works best for you to sort through rough times.
The Harmony of Emotions
Balance. Good and evil. Positive and negative. You can’t have one without the other and it’s okay to not be at your best 100% of the time. It’s important to continue the cycle, beginning with a good day. You feel happy and free, then something goes wrong and you deal with it. Then you go back to facing life head on with a smile. On and on and on it goes!
We will never be 100% happy in the sense that we will not feel good all the time. As long as you work through the negative, you will come out better for it on the either side. You have the control to choose how you feel and how you deal with every situation, so find your balance and live free.
