Let’s continue this fantastical adventure with Hyacinth Part Three!
Her words triggered my memories. My body shivered as I stared at her blackened eyes. “Camellia,” I whispered, then turned to the door. Staring at the brightened light, I asked, “How did you find it?”
Travels of Hyacinth: Part Three
“You may have given up searching for your destiny, but I never did!” Camellia said, stomping towards me. She grabbed my neck and pushed me against the cave wall. My toes struggled to touch the ground as she squeezed harder, her fist glowing yellow.
“I’m not the one you need to open that door,” I said, “You can’t rely on a witch’s prophecy. That was twenty years ago. I’m just a common thief. I don’t know how to open it.”
“Don’t lie to me! I know you’ve been looking for it too. That’s why the King’s army is after you. There’s talk of you all over the Kingdom. He wants your head, and now I’m offering you a way out. I know you took the scepter.”
“That wasn’t me. It was somebody else.” I shoved her off me and ran towards the end of the cave. I heard horses and clanking armour nearby.
“You’ll never get anywhere without me,” she snarled.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out a blue gemstone. I rolled it in my palms, and Camellia stared at me.
“You did have something. Get us in there now!”
“You don’t know me anymore, Camellia,” I said as the gemstone glowed, “When that witch cursed me, I was changed. I don’t have the same memories as you of my past. I can’t bring you with me. Thanks for reminding me of the passkey.” Tossing the gem on the ground, it exploded and captured the pixie in a sticky cocoon.
Holding the doorknob, I heard her muffled screams. “Henotic Hyacinth!” I shouted, and the door clicked open. The clopping horses and heroic knights came closer. As I saw a glimpse of their armour, I hopped through the passage and slammed the door shut.
“All right, slimy witch,” I said, “I’m coming for you.”
